As museum workforces returned to the office following the initial shutdowns caused by the COVID19 pandemic, definitions of the new work day have shifted. How is leadership navigating an increasing demand for work/life balance, flexible hours, and maintaining equitability while staff is working remotely? This session was created by CAM's Strategic Action Committee.

A panel for all museum professionals! Join board members from San Diego's Emerging Museum Professionals to discuss the shifting climate and culture of early career professionals. Panelists will discuss the challenges and future of museum work, and how affordable programming and partnerships can help emerging museum workers navigate the field.

2:15PM–2:45PM: Tactile Photographs & Accessibility at the Riverside Art Museum (Plenary Case Study Session)
How can art museums create tactile art experiences for their Blind/visually impaired visitors? Come learn how the Riverside Art Museum is partnering with Blindness Support Services to host a graduate student thesis project that increases accessibility of the museum experience for persons who live with some form of visual impairment.

3:00PM–3:30PM: Sharing Space: Mingei International Museum's Community Mondays Program (Plenary Case Study Session)
Presenters will share how Mingei's new Community Mondays program, focused on sharing its new theater, free of charge, with under-resourced arts and culture organizations, community groups and artists, is key to its commitment to increase access to all. Attendees will learn how the program has expanded Museum audiences and collaborations.

3:45PM–4:15PM: Divided Together Podcast Series: Exploring Separation and Unification Related to the U.S.-Mexico Border (Plenary Case Study Session)
The Divided Together podcast, developed by California State Parks at Border Field, reveals topics that involve separation and unification related to the border. The podcast features people with direct experience and knowledge, including the First Peoples, the Kumeyaay, highlighting how the nation is divided by the border and their land use practices.
